What is IBM Edge Application Manager

Policy-based fleet deployment
It supports policy-driven placement of services to edge nodes based on hardware, location, and other node attributes. Designed for intermittent networks

Edge AI depends on stack
While it can deploy AI/ML containers to edge nodes, it is not an end-to-end edge AI platform with built-in model training, feature store, or model monitoring. AI lifecycle capabilities depend on the ML tooling packaged into the deployed workloads and the surrounding IBM or third-party services. Organizations may need separate MLOps tooling for governance and observability. This can limit suitability for teams seeking a single integrated edge AI suite.
