Plan & Pricing
Pricing model: Pay-as-you-go (hourly/GB-hour) and Subscription (prepaid monthly/annual). Fees are composed of multiple billable components: Master resources (Master CUs), computing resources (CUs), storage resources (GB), and optional RAG/embedding service (token/image-based).
Free tier/trial: Free trial available for Storage-elastic (Serverless/Serverless Pro) mode (new users can apply via Alibaba Cloud Free Trial). Coordinator/Master resources of 8 CUs or lower are documented as free (see notes).
Example costs (official site examples/values):
- Serverless Pro cache space (Subscription): $0.153846153846154 per GB-month. Pay-as-you-go: $0.00032 per GB-hour. Minimum purchase space: 64 GB.
- Serverless Pro cold storage (pay-as-you-go): ~ $0.0000538461538461539 per GB-hour (applies to many non-China regions).
- RAG Service example (embedding): text2vec — $0.00248128189231723 per 1,000 tokens; other embedding models and image rates listed on the product pricing page.
- Master resources: coordinator/master resources of 8 CUs or lower are free; 16 CU and larger master specs are billable (prices shown on the buy page).
- (Documentation also lists per-node pay-as-you-go hourly examples for earlier node types on the product pricing page.)
Discount options: Subscription (prepaid) offers lower effective unit price for longer commitments; regional and promotion discounts apply and the buy page shows the final price.
Notes & limitations: Prices vary by region and instance series/edition. The official pricing/docs state some legacy node-type hourly prices (older pages) and emphasize actual buy-page prices/console bill as authoritative.
