What is Coralogix

Coralogix is an observability platform that centralizes log analytics, metrics, traces, and alerting for cloud-native and distributed applications. It is used by DevOps, SRE, and engineering teams to monitor application and infrastructure health, investigate incidents, and manage telemetry costs. The product emphasizes high-volume log ingestion and analysis with integrations across common cloud services, Kubernetes environments, and CI/CD tooling. It also provides security-oriented analytics capabilities that can be used for detection and investigation workflows alongside operational monitoring.

pros

Unified logs, metrics, traces

Coralogix supports collecting and analyzing logs, metrics, and distributed traces within a single platform. This helps teams correlate application behavior with infrastructure signals during incident investigation. It fits organizations that want a consolidated observability workflow rather than separate point tools. The platform includes alerting and dashboards to operationalize the telemetry.

Cloud-native integration coverage

Coralogix provides integrations for common cloud services and Kubernetes-based environments, supporting containerized and microservices architectures. This reduces custom engineering effort for onboarding telemetry sources. It is suited to teams running multi-service applications where instrumentation and ingestion need to scale. Integration breadth also supports faster time-to-value for standard stacks.

Cost and volume management features

The platform is commonly positioned around managing high log volumes and controlling observability spend through filtering, parsing, and routing approaches. These capabilities can help reduce noise and focus retention on higher-value data. For teams with rapidly growing telemetry, this can improve operational efficiency. It is particularly relevant where log volume is the dominant cost driver.

cons

Complexity at enterprise scale

As deployments grow across many teams and services, configuration for pipelines, parsing, alert rules, and access controls can become complex. Organizations often need governance to keep dashboards and alerts consistent. This can increase the operational overhead compared with simpler monitoring-only tools. Larger rollouts may require dedicated platform ownership.

APM depth varies by use case

While Coralogix supports tracing and application monitoring, some organizations may find that advanced APM features (for example, deep code-level diagnostics or specialized runtime insights) depend on instrumentation choices and maturity of the specific integration. Teams with highly specialized performance engineering needs may need to validate feature depth for their languages and frameworks. This can affect suitability for performance-centric programs. Proof-of-concept testing is often necessary.

Security analytics not full SIEM

Coralogix can be used for security monitoring and investigation, but SIEM requirements often include prescriptive detection content, compliance reporting, and long-term retention patterns that vary by industry. Organizations with formal SOC processes may need to confirm coverage for their required detections, workflows, and audit needs. In some cases, additional security tooling or content development is required. This can increase implementation time for security-led deployments.

Plan & Pricing

Pricing model: Pay-as-you-go / usage-based (Coralogix Units + per-GB / per-token rates)

Base rates (public, official):

  • Logs – $0.42 per GB (infinite retention; data stored in your S3 bucket).
  • Traces – $0.16 per GB (infinite retention; data stored in your S3 bucket).
  • Metrics – $0.05 per GB (1 GB = 1,000 time series; infinite retention; stored in your S3 bucket).
  • AI – $1.50 per 1M tokens (AI evaluation/tokens pricing).

Units system:

  • Coralogix uses "Units" as a currency system. 1 Unit = $1.50 worth of logs, metrics, and traces. Plans are purchased as a number of units which may be applied across logs/metrics/traces according to pipeline assignment.

Featured account inclusions / notes:

  • Every account includes 24/7 human support, unlimited sources, unlimited users and hosts, daily quota renewal, and enterprise features (RBAC, SSO, audit trails, etc.).
  • Pay-As-You-Go feature: when you reach 80% of daily plan you are alerted and can enable Pay-As-You-Go to continue ingesting up to 2x your daily plan; excess usage is billed at the Pay-As-You-Go rate.

Free tier / trial:

  • Free plan (permanently free tier): Not offered / not shown on official pricing page.
  • Free trial: 14-day free trial (no credit card required) with a quota of 8 units and full feature access.
