What is Dremio

Strong lakehouse SQL performance
Dremio provides a distributed SQL engine optimized for querying data in object storage and other external systems. Open table format alignment

If workloads change frequently, the acceleration strategy may require ongoing adjustment. Without this effort, performance may depend heavily on underlying storage layout and the characteristics of the connected sources.
Not a full BI suite
Dremio focuses on data access, SQL querying, and semantic governance rather than end-user visualization and dashboard authoring. Most organizations pair it with external BI and data science tools for reporting, notebooks, and application analytics. This adds integration and permission-model alignment work across multiple products.
