What is IBM Cloudant
IBM Cloudant is a managed document database service based on Apache CouchDB, designed to store and query JSON documents via HTTP APIs. It is used by application teams that need a cloud-hosted NoSQL database with replication and offline/sync-friendly patterns. Cloudant emphasizes multi-region replication options, change feeds, and CouchDB-compatible tooling for document-centric workloads. CouchDB-compatible document model
Cloudant uses a JSON document model and exposes CouchDB-style HTTP APIs, which supports common document-database application patterns. Built-in replication capabilities
