Interactivity is generally oriented around filters and parameters rather than rich exploratory UI. This can be a limitation for executive-facing reporting that requires polished layouts.

Running Redash in a self-hosted setup requires ongoing administration for upgrades, backups, monitoring, and scaling. Performance tuning can become necessary as query volume and concurrent users grow. Organizations without dedicated DevOps or platform support may find the maintenance burden higher than with fully managed BI services. Support and feature velocity can also vary depending on the edition and deployment approach.
