Plan & Pricing
Pricing model: Per-core (term-based) or per-vCPU (per‑VM) licensing.
License terms & application: Nutanix Database Service (NDB) is licensed "per core" and can be applied in two modes: (a) cluster (license all physical CPU cores of a cluster) or (b) per‑VM (license all vCPUs of VMs managed by NDB). Licences are term-based (Nutanix typically sells term licenses in 1–5 year durations) and purchased via Nutanix or Nutanix partners. NDB can also be added as an add‑on to Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) clusters (NCI Pro minimum to add NDB).
Free tier/trial: Nutanix offers a Test Drive (interactive, time‑limited session — e.g., 2‑hour NDB test drive).
Example costs: No list prices or per‑core per‑term prices for NDB are published on Nutanix public product pages or datasheets. Customers are asked to contact Nutanix or authorized partners for pricing/quotations.
Discount/options: Multi‑year term licensing and enterprise/volume pricing (and partner/GSA procurement channels) are used for purchases — contact Nutanix sales/partners for discounts and exact quotes.
