What is Azure Advisor
Azure Advisor is a Microsoft Azure service that analyzes Azure resource configurations and usage telemetry to provide recommendations for cost optimization, security, reliability, operational excellence, and performance. It targets cloud administrators, platform teams, and FinOps/security stakeholders who manage Azure subscriptions and want prioritized, actionable guidance. Native Azure integration
Azure Advisor is built into the Azure portal and uses Azure resource metadata and telemetry without requiring separate agents for many scenarios. It aligns recommendations with Azure constructs such as subscriptions, resource groups, and specific resource types. This reduces setup overhead compared with standalone tools and keeps guidance close to day-to-day cloud operations.

Azure-only scope

Recommendation depth varies
