Ongoing operations may require careful tuning of queues, memory, and throughput to meet SLAs. Troubleshooting can involve multiple layers (source logs, replication server, network, target apply). This can increase reliance on specialized DBA skills.

Supported source/target databases and features depend on specific product versions and certified drivers. Some advanced transformations or modern cloud-native delivery patterns may require additional components or alternative integration services. Licensing and platform support can also influence feasible architectures. Teams should validate compatibility for each database version and target platform before standardizing.
