What is Jamboard
Jamboard is a collaborative digital whiteboard product that supports real-time brainstorming and visual collaboration using sticky notes, drawings, images, and basic shapes. It is used by teams and educators to run workshops, lessons, and lightweight ideation sessions, typically alongside Google Workspace tools. Jamboard is closely tied to Google accounts and Google Drive for access and file handling. Google has ended support for Jamboard, so it is no longer an actively maintained option for new deployments.
Tight Google Workspace integration
Jamboard uses Google identity and works naturally with Google Drive and sharing permissions. Teams that already standardize on Google accounts can onboard users with minimal additional setup. Product discontinued by Google
Google has ended support for Jamboard, which limits its viability for organizations that need ongoing updates, security maintenance, and vendor support. Discontinuation increases operational risk for long-term use and can complicate procurement approvals. Organizations may need to plan migration and content export. This is a significant constraint compared with actively developed whiteboard platforms.
Limited advanced whiteboarding features
