What is UiPath Task Mining
UiPath Task Mining is a task mining product that captures and analyzes user desktop interactions to identify how work is performed at the task level. The product focuses on user-interaction data (as opposed to only system event logs) and integrates with UiPath’s automation platform to help translate findings into automation opportunities.

Endpoint constraints (VDI, locked-down devices, or restricted environments) can also reduce data quality or feasibility.
Not a full process mining substitute
Task-level capture does not replace end-to-end process mining based on enterprise event logs for system-of-record visibility and conformance at scale. Organizations often still need complementary process mining to quantify throughput, bottlenecks, and variants across entire processes. Using task mining alone can overemphasize local desktop steps without full upstream/downstream context.
